Congratulations to KJ, who's first EVER batch of Chili WON!
Here's her recipe!

KJ’s Award Winning Turkey Chili

INGREDIENTS:
• 1 small white onion
• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• 1-1/4 pounds fresh ground turkey
• 1 teaspoon garlic powder (I used The Melting Pot’s Garlic & Wine Seasoning)
• 2-3 teaspoons chili powder
• 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
• 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
• 1 (14-1/2 ounces) can diced tomatoes in juice, undrained
• 1 (6 ounces) can tomato paste
• 1 (14-1/2 ounces) can chicken broth
• 4 to 5 green onions (scallions)
Peel and chop onion.

Pour oil into large, deep frying pan. Heat oil on medium for 1 minute.

Add onions to hot oil.
Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally with wooden spoon for about 5 minutes.

Add ground turkey, breaking up large pieces until brown.

Stir in garlic powder, chili powder, black pepper, and cumin until well combined.

Stir tomatoes and their juice, tomato paste and chicken broth into pot. Heat 5 to 7 minutes, or until thoroughly hot, stirring often.

Rinse and slice green portions of green onions. You should have about 1/2 cup. Stir green onions into pot.

Season to taste with more garlic, black pepper or chili powder if needed.

Let simmer for about an hour.
