I have a dog and kids, so the only thing I find in my couch is stale Cheerio’s and old dog bones.
Well there’s a woman in Canada who hit the couch jackpot. She bought a couch at a thrift store four years ago for $25. Apparently she didn’t use the couch much because just recently she went through the cushions and found a watch.
But it’s not just any watch: It’s a vintage Rolex Daytona 6241 “Paul Newman” variant. There were only around 3,000 of them made back in the late ’60s, and they’re some of the hardest watches to find for sale anywhere.
The woman called a watch dealer, and they examined it . . . and determined it’s authentic, and worth at least $250,000.
So what’s the woman planning to do with the money? She told the watch dealer she’s going to, quote, “buy a house and get a boob job.”
The lesson here? Thrift Store Couch = New Boobs
