News broke today that the Disney+ reboot of “Lizzie McGuire“ is on hiatus. The shows original creator, Terri Minksy, exited the project and now they are looking for a replacement.

Fans aren’t too happy about the news. They worry the reboot won’t be made in true Lizzie fashion, or happen at all. According to NBC News, “Hilary Duff is currently honeymooning in Mozambique with her new husband, Matthew Koma,” which is why she hasn’t made a comment about the situation yet. BUT we have seen some pretty awesome tweets of fans pitching themselves as Minsky’s replacement.

Show must go on! I think Terri should sign over the rights of #LizzieMcGuire to @disneyplus and find New creative Writers for the Lizzie McGuire reboot and @HilaryDuff should executive produce the series and I think they should push the release to 2021 on its 20th Anniversary

No matter what happens, I hope Disney+ will move forward with the show because I need Lizzie and her all of her amazing outfits in my life right now.
