The two-week music event is scheduled to occur next month but may be pushed to later in the year due to the coronavirus. Started in 1999, the California music festival was slotted for April 10-19 and included Frank Ocean, Rage against the Machine, and Travis Scott as headliners.
Here’s what we know so far:
According to Billboard.com, “It’s not a done deal but organizers should know in about 48 hours if the festivals can be saved, says high level sources.”
There have been confirmed cases of coronavirus in Riverside County where the event takes place. In fact, “earlier Monday (March 9) three more cases of coronavirus were confirmed,” says Billboard.
If the festival is pushed back, it’s possible that not all the performing acts will be able to make it.
Let me tell ya, there’s some mixed feelings in the Twitter-verse.
