In time of social distancing and self isolation, many find themselves having to work from home. Verizon is recognizing the need to sometimes connect using your phone’s data in case you experience any kind of internet outage. So if you’re a Verizon customer, they’ve got your back and they want you to know it.

This week, Verizon issued a statement reinforcing its pledge to Keep America Connected. In the statement, the company announced it would be adding 15 gigabytes of data to each of its consumers at no cost to them. Customers don’t need to do anything as the data will be automatically added to their current plans. Those with an unlimited plan will receive 15G in hot spot data.

The additional data allowance will go into effect March 25 until April 30 according to Business Insider.
