In her recent interview on the Joe Rogan Experience, Miley Cyrus described her latest performance at the 2020 VMAs. She wasn’t impressed with the VMA director’s handle on what she wanted for Midnight Sky… All she wanted was some specific lighting.
She told Joe Rogan that they agreed to turn off “the beauty light” they use for female performers and simplify it to what Miley was asking for. They decided she would be treated the same as the guys. Asking as a woman… do they ever make it that simple?
When rehearsing, Miley was having an issue where her bracelets would get caught (see wrecking ball chain) and the director comments went something like,
“You want to be treated like a guy? We wouldn’t be dealing with this if a guy was doing it.”
