I’m literally shaking as I write this but guess who’s releasing yet another album this year?!?! My girl Taylor Swift!!
Taylor posted on social media not even an hour ago letting fans know that she’s releasing her 9th studio album titled evermore. The album will contain 17 new songs and collaborations with HAIM, The National, and Bon Iver. Just by looking at the imagery and song titles, evermore might look familiar and that’s because it’s the sister record to folklore, Taylor’s 8th album she released earlier this year.
I’m elated to tell you that my 9th studio album, and folklore’s sister record, will be out tonight at midnight eastern. It’s called evermore.

As reported by Variety, Taylor took to social to write “I’ve never done this before. In the past I’ve always treated albums as one-off eras and moved onto planning the next one after an album was released. There was something different with folklore. In making it, I felt less like I was departing and more like I was returning. I loved the escapism I found in these imaginary/not imaginary tales. I loved the ways you welcomed the dreamscapes and tragedies and epic tales of love lost and found into your lives. So I just kept writing them.”
Ever since I was 13, I’ve been excited about turning 31 because it’s my lucky number backwards, which is why I wanted to surprise you with this now. You’ve all been so caring, supportive and thoughtful on my birthdays and so this time I thought I would give you something! pic.twitter.com/wATiVSTpuV

Not only is she giving us a brand spanking new album, she’s also dropping the music video for her new song “willow.” Now don’t quote me, but based on this photo it does look like the video or the song will comment on the rumors that her and boyfriend Joe Alwyn are engaged and/or married.
Tonight the story continues, as the music video for “willow” drops at midnight eastern. pic.twitter.com/T3o0nsANpY

Midnight literally can’t come soon enough! All I’m saying is 2 albums, 1 documentary, 1 Disney + special, lots of amazing new songs. Who saved 2020? Taylor Swift did.
