It’s just a log…OR IS IT??? One of my FAVORITE holiday traditions from around the world is from Catalonia- it’s Tio de Nadal which translates roughly to Christmas Log. If you want to see a picture of this adorable log with a face drawn on it you can click HERE. (Do it.) But that is nowhere close to the best part of this tradition. THE LOG POOPS PRESENTS!!!!!!!! On Christmas Eve the log’s “butt” is covered by a blanket, children gather round and sing a song that translates roughly to “Christmas Log Poop out the presents” (you can hear that & watch it all go down HERE) while they hit it with sticks. Then the next morning depending on how good they were they will lift the blanket and see what kind of presents the log has pooped out. IT. IS. MAGICAL. I really feel like America is missing the boat on the poop log. Someone should do something about this.
