Somehow there was this idea floating around that because cicadas are everywhere and some of the Brood X might have a type of fungus on them that causes an amphetamine effect that you should eat them to get high…. No. This absolutely doesn’t work. You’d have to eat well over 100 infected bugs to even potentially be close to the idea of feeling something like high on the off chance the 100 you eat are even infected with the fungus but not all of them are.
