KANYE may have started a trend by going off his meds, because now it seems like EVERYBODY is publicly pining for their ex.

On Valentine’s Day, NICK CANNON released a track called “Alone”, which is basically a love song to MARIAH CAREY.  It even samples “Love Takes Time“, a song from her 1990 debut album.

At first, Nick sounds like he’s not trying to get Mariah back.

The lyrics start with, “First off, I’m gonna say I ain’t got nothing but love for ya / Nothing but love / Imma stay away, I ain’t trying to [eff] it up for ya / I keep my distance, stay in my lane / Cause I know you got a man, it’s a little too late.”

And he goes on to say things are probably better the way they are because, “I’m still running the streets / I’m still all in the sheets / Having babies, models and singers and actresses saying they pregnant by me.

“Have to pay $10,000 a week, I take care of my peeps / Now you don’t worry when I creep / You got a man next to you when you sleep.” 

However . . . he also says:  “I say I’m cool when I know I miss it / I’d trade it all for the case / If I could have you back / If I could go back to where we started at.”

Next passenger on the redemption train:  LAMAR ODOM.  On Monday’s episode of “Celebrity Big Brother”, he told his housemates that he’s going to try his “damndest” to reconnect with KHLOE KARDASHIAN after the show.

“It would be a blessing just to be in her presence to just tell her I’m sorry and what a fool I was.”

He added, “I didn’t treat that good woman right.”
