My favorite parts of Saturday Night Live are the ones with Pete Davidson. Maybe it’s the crush I have (along with everyone else) or maybe it’s because I love to see him laugh through sketches because that’s just how he is.
It looks like things are moving forward for Pete now. He’s getting his own comedy series starring him… playing him. YES! Deadline says the show may be called “Bupkis” under Lorne Michaels’ Broadway Video and Universal Television — that’s the guy in charge of SNL!
According to Variety,
“Michaels has helped launch other series for his “Saturday Night Live” cast members, including Hulu’s “Shrill” for Aidy Bryant, Apple’s “Schimgadoon!” for Cecily Strong, NBC’s “Kenan” for Kenan Thompson, Peacock’s “Bust Down” for Chris Redd and HBO Max’s “That Damn Michael Che” for Michael Che.”
Right now we don’t know where this show will live, but they are pitching it to various streaming services… whichever one they go with I’m obviously going to need so I can get my Pete time in.
