I love getting flowers in any form, from fancy delivered flowers to the dandelions picked outside. I always tell my husband one stop on the way home to grab a $5 Kroger Bouquet will earn you brownie points for a week. Just having them around makes me happier. Well, now science has got my back! Rutgers University did a study on the effects of women having flowers delivered and it had an immediate effect on happiness when they arrived. The study showed long term the participants felt less depressed, anxious and agitated after receiving flowers, and showed a higher sense of enjoyment and life satisfaction. It can also create better connections with family and friends when you get to reach out and say thank you!
As a side note- this is a picture of some flowers I picked up from Walmart for $4 on May 18th. They are STILL going strong! Don’t sleep on those grocery store floral arrangements.
