Today Pete Davidson’s stand-up special came out on Netflix, so naturally, I had to put it on in the background while at the office. MAAAAAAN, lemme tell you about it. By the way, it’s totally R-rated, so make good choices.
It starts off with Pete throwing shade at Louis CK. He talks a bit about his time on Saturday Night Live so far — if you ever wanted to hear the background behind his controversial Dan Crenshaw roast, it’s in this special!
And then about 30 minutes in, he gets into Ariana Grande. Look, I love Ariana Grande, but even I enjoyed Pete’s angsty jabs at his ex-fiance. Without ruining anything for you, he gets into her saying she didn’t know who he was and simply used him as a distraction to a major media outlet. He adds “can you imagine if I did that? My career would over tomorrow.” He assures the audience that this is all “just jokes” and to be fair, it IS a comedy special. But you can feel the sting that’s still between the two of them.
So if you’re old enough and have a flexible sense of humor, check it out. Borrow someone’s password and hop on Netflix and prepare to choke on Pete Davidson’s words.
