New mom Katy Perry is back on the American Idol set with fellow judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan as well as host Ryan Seacrest. The team has been given the thumbs up to work with new social distancing guidelines.

This season the judges will sit six feet apart at separate tables and will interact in specified zones. Union and industry guidelines for production as well as rigorous safety and health protocols on the set will adhere to state and local requirements. In addition to these guidelines cast, crew and contestants will also be tested regularly for coronavirus.
