I still remember when Taylor Swift’s “Love Story” music video premiered. It was 2008 and I was randomly searching her name on YouTube when a new video popped up. This was way before social media made it big and I had no idea it was premiering. I watched it while spinning around in my dad’s office chair and dreaming about living in a fairy tale.
Fast forward 12 years later and Taylor is re-recording that very song! As most of us know, Taylor now has the rights to re-record albums 1-5 and she’s hit the ground running! She tweeted saying “Ok so while my new re-records are NOT done, my friend @VancityReynolds asked me if he could use a snippet of one for a LOLsome commercial he wrote so…here’s a sneak peak of Love Story!”
The song was used in the background of friend Ryan Reynolds new commercial for Match.com made by Ryan’s own production company.
