A Fake Cop Was Arrested For Stealing a Donut and I Love It!

I absolutely love these stupid criminal stories and this one definitely takes the cake… or at least the donut. He’s BEYOND committed to his character.

47-year-old Daniel Wright was arrested in Utah over the weekend for impersonating an officer.  And he also stole something that cops are known to enjoy. He walked into a 7-Eleven on Sunday wearing a jacket that said “Sheriff’s Deputy.”  And an employee called the REAL cops after Daniel decided to steal a DONUT. Police checked the security footage, and tracked his white Ford pickup truck to a nearby motel, where they arrested him along with a woman he was with.

Daniel is now facing charges for impersonating a police officer and the theft of a singular donut.

What’s the best stupid criminal story you’ve ever heard?
