Sure, Taylor Swift’s “evermore” album was a just what I needed in December 2020. But the theme park in Utah by the same name doesn’t feel the same way. And that’s why they’re suing her for trademark infringement. Yikes.
Pitchfork says that Swift’s team denies this claim and any similarities between the two entities.
Swifties on Twitter have her back:
Not a theme park thinking they own the word evermore… no words

A theme park called Evermore is suing you know who because they have a copyright on the name and I’m dying laughing

the hole-in-the-wall evermore theme park in utah suing taylor swift for her new album being named the same name has the same energy as the fine bros trying to trademark “react” a few years ago

Tweets don’t win lawsuits though, so we will have to see what comes out of this.
