Demi Lovato is not impressed with a frozen yogurt shop after seeing them post about “guilt-free” cakes and cookies on social media. She said on her Instagram story that they are pushing unhealthy habits via diet culture and praising disordered eating.
The froyo place responded and it was kind of a whirlwind from there where she called them out for less-than-great service and then also reasoned with them about how they portray their gluten-free and vegan options???

She points out to their representative (publicly on her story) that they are not wrong for catering to various dietary needs, but that they should instead be more transparent about that.
She has vowed to call out other places like this with #dietculturevultures. I’m a little nervous to see how this plays out for her in the media, but at the same time, I’m not not hoping it works out and restaurants become more wary of pushing bad diet cultures.
